Felters, come to Penticton this year!felt feutre felting symposium 2016 Fiona Duthie and other felt artisans

felt::feutre Canada  is hosting the 2016 international symposium of felting this September. Come for exceptional workshops, a juried exhibition of some of Canada’s finest contemporary Canadian felt works, a marketplace for felt making and other fibre art supplies and more. Set your calendar for September 20 – 25th! Chaotic Fibres is one of four featured vendors over the six days of this symposium.

It’s inspiring to collaborate with local artisans! See our fibres at work in Fernie, BC at the inFernie Forgecomparable Fernie Forge as well as at the new Fernie gallery and studio, Eye of the Needle. Owners Sandra and David Barrett are both talented blacksmiths trained in Britain. Sandra also loves the challenge and contrast with using fibre and glass in her sculptural steel pieces as shown in the gallery.
