We have just returned from Olds Fibre Week and a visit to Calgary to spend some precious time with family. Although we were not able to be a vendor at the Merchant Mall at Olds College this year because of the flood at our home, we wanted to check it out for next year as well as to have a chance to visit with some of the other vendors we have met over the year. We were in awe of the inspiring range of programs Olds College offers at the masters levels for spinning and weaving during Fibre Week! Love to be part of it for next year.
So, what’s new with Chaotic Fibres? We’ve had several shipments of some spectacular fibre recently. Our collection of Maori has been restocked, and we have added some new, exciting colours, giving us a total of 28. Have a look on our shopping cart! We’ve also recently picked up 12 colours of luscious, 19 micron Italian merino roving and some multi-coloured merino roving from both Germany and Australia.
Our next fibre event will be here in Victoria at Fibrations on Sunday, August 16th. So far, almost 50 vendors, including Chaotic Fibres, will be at Porter Park beside the Fairfield Community Centre and Sir James Douglas School. This annual outdoor event in always well attended and such a great atmosphere! Hope to see you there!
